The excitement of the World Cup extends far beyond the final score. It brings together communities, sparks curiosity about different cultures and inspires people of all ages to get moving. For educators and librarians, that excitement creates a unique opportunity to connect a global event with meaningful movement experiences that keep students engaged both physically and socially.
Whether you’re looking to add energy to a library summer program, support physical literacy or simply tap into students’ enthusiasm for the game, soccer offers an accessible way to encourage participation, teamwork and skill development. The activities below are designed to help you bring the spirit of the World Cup into your classroom or library while creating opportunities for movement, learning and fun.
